What do you really know about pumpkins?

Do you know any other information we could add?

Halloween

If I had to describe what makes Halloween so special, I would say that first it is the spirit. It starts with decoration in schools, homes and on the streets. Then it’s about being creative.

It's also about celebrating the wild side.

Using social networks safely

Lots of students are using sites like Facebook, Windows Live Messenger, Twitter, Skype, YoutTube, etc.
Do you act correctly when using social networks? Watch the video and find out.

If you prefer to watch it in Portuguese, click here.
You can also find everything about online safety for students at SeguraNet (in Portuguese).

The power of an image

FlickrCC

This is a visual world. Everything is also an image. Some people learn better when they see things; others, like me, use image to describe thoughts, ideas, and feelings.
Here’s a great site where you can find all the photos you can think of: http://www.flickr.com/
Sign up using your Google or Facebook account. Upload, share or find and use amazing photos. Don’t forget to choose a license for your photos.
Enjoy it.

Welcome message

Hi there, everyone!

Welcome to our blog.
It’s a blog for my year 7 and 9 English students but it will be available for the whole world.
It’s supposed to be a complement to other resources used in class. Don’t forget we also have our sites for year 7 and for year 9.
I will be practicing for a while, finding the best options for this amazing tool, learning new things, but then I’ll invite you in to post texts, photos, videos, etc here.

Together we’ll do better.

Note: If you are unsure about the English used here, copy and paste this to Google translator, for example.
